Still time to join in at Beeston Wildcats!

Beeston Wildcats is going from strength to strength, but there are still spaces for more girls to come and play.

60 girls – from the foundation year right up to year eight - are now playing football every week with Beeston Wildcats, which is run by Beeston FC.

Based at our ground on Trent Vale Road, Beeston Rylands, we have acres of space to accommodate more players at all age groups, and plenty of FA-qualified coaches, too.

Charles Walker, Beeston Wildcats co-ordinator, said: “It’s great to see so many girls having fun playing football. And we would be delighted to see more youngsters at our sessions. Come on down!”

Wildcats is a FA-sponsored scheme to encourage girls to play football. Beeston welcomes everyone from complete beginners to experienced players.

During the Wildcats scheme, which runs every Monday until July 22, girls can just turn up and pay £3 to play. There is no obligation or commitment, (but we will ask parents to complete a form with contact details and medical needs – this is part of the FA requirement).

And if the girls enjoy playing then they can join one of our newly-formed teams.

Beeston FC plans to enter girls’ teams in local leagues in September at under-8, u9, u10, u12 (a combined team of year 6 and year 7) and u14 (year 8 and year 9).
