it was a pleasure to watch, everything we practised in trainnig happend today.

it all started with rainy weather, cold parents and wet feet... perfect conditions to be playing football!! today saw Beeston take the short trip to Trowell with Beeston loosing their 100% start last week, they wanted to keep the title of being unbeaten going...

it all started with Beeston taking the ball off the Trowell players from kick off and within the 3rd minute Sam Swallow scored his first goal of the day. Beeston was really pumped for today putting lots of pressure on and making life hard for the oppersition when they tried to break. Sam Swallow scored his second as he chased down a defender nicked it off him and placed it pass the keeper. might i add that Sam Swallow played his best football today that i have seen he's passed and kept his head up and his ability to get pass players are incredible.

The third goal came from when Zac Ross went up for a corner and flicked the ball on at the near post to creep past the keeper. To give credit where it is due as Manager of the U18s (Steve Hyde) gave the idea of sending a defender up at corners has paid off with three goals coming from his advice.

half time came and what we had seen in the first half was that Beeston had started to show signs of their form of last season as they started passing and improved by using all of their players on the pitch, in all areas of the pitch. we saw winger passing back to defenders to give the quick one-twos, strikers passing the ball out wide to get the crosses in and recognising when there is no room for a shot pulling the ball back to a player that is in free space.

the second half started much like the first but Trowell managed to take the ball away from the beeston defender and pass it into the bottom corner of the goal.

Ellis Ross had plenty of chances through out the match but it started to look like it wasn't going to be his day but when he followed a shot in the keeper spilled it and he smashed it into the net making sure he wasn't going to miss that one.

The result of the fourth goal came from a bizzar insident where the keeper went to kick the ball out of his hands, bounced the ball then caught it outside of his area. amist all the confusion of what was going on Joseph Allan stepped up and smashed it into the top left corner of the net.

Luke Daminabo joined in the fun as Trowell failed to clear a Beeston corner and Zac Ross got to the ball and passed to to Luke who was free curled the ball into the bottom right corner.

Ellis Ross scored his second in style as Luke Daminabos corner came in the keeper miss judged it and as it came over his head Ellis was the quickest to react and scored with a diving header!!! the final goal was a result of pure determination as Joseph Allan Ran as if his life depended on it 10 yards behind the closest defender to have his low shot saved but spilled into the net.

A very good game by everyone involved Harvey Kirk played extremly well in midfield today creating most of the through balls down the wing. Sam May gave Beeston the break as he ran the ball out from the back and tried playing though balls to the strikers and wingers. Nickolas Gardiner was dominent in the air and didn't let anything passed him today much like Jack Morgan did the same. Zac Ross provided a good long passing to push beeston up the pitch. last but not least Riccardo Kolesov marked his debute in goal with bravery and commitment as he put his body on the line in the first half to keep his clean sheet intact.

Man of the match has to be given to Joseph Allan as his level of commitment for both attacking and defending, his leadership skills and communincation and his abillity on the ball with his wicked free kick, his passing and running off the ball made life very difficult for all of the Trowell players today a very big well done Mr Allan!!!!
