Beeston bounce back

Beeston back to winning ways
Beeston was back in action today, after a week out and they came up against a tough Pegasus team.
The game started abit back and forth with both teams hoothing the ball upfield. Beeston settled down quicker and managed to pass the ball about before scoring from a quick free kick taken by Luke Daminabo and Harvey Kirk used his pace to slot it past the keeper.
Peguses kept trying to play balls over the top but the Beeston FC defence kept heading the ball to safety. Then a quick counter attack saw peguses running down the wing and when the striker cut inside his strike was hard and precise into the top left corner.
The second half began with peguses having most of the attacking play until Beeston FC started passing the ball out wide and getting up the pitch.
This led to a penalty in Beeston FC favour as Ricky was bought down following a corner. Harvey Kirk scored his second of the match due to the managers (Josh Towlson) superstitions of the player that won a penalty cannot take it.
With 9 minutes left peguses was throwing everything at Beeston but couldn't find a way through. With a minuet to go peguses had all players into the box and the keeper almost scored an equaliser if it wasn't for Ricky stopping the ball on the line!!!
A good hard earned win by the boys and back to winning ways. The positive that came out this match was our defence mostly tried to play passing football in patches and the amount of headers from everyone. Man of the match goes to Sam May for keeping the peguses danger man in his pocket. Well done boys!!!
