Beeston undone by Route one football.

This is the first game of four in a hectic two week period for Beeston but fully up for it with second place in their sights. Beeston started off flying with two goals from corners within the first 10 minutes from Harvey Kirk and Luke Daminabo. Beeston was dominating the game and when Luke broke down the wing and whipped in a perfect early cross for Ellis Ross who slot it into the bottom corner but was judged offside.

Phoenix came back into the game with two very good counter attacks. Beeston the took the lead into half time with a move starting from left back Nick Gardiner to harvey Kirk then switch the ball over to Luke on the wing and with some good movement Oliver Mercer set the ball up with his first touch and second curled into the bottom right corner.

with the second half started Phoenix changed their tactics for their goal keeper to punt the ball upfeild on a very small pitch and it either bounced over the defence or fell kindly to an attacking player and saw phoenix score nine goals.

In turn it was a 30 minuets of football that left the beeston players frustrated as they had numerous chances but they could not convert them chances into goals. Never the less the Beeston players should be proud of their dominating performance and take it into the next game. Well done Lads Man of the match went to Jack Morgan as he was solid at the back and kept calm to pick the right pass and made attacking runs from the back.
