U9s Snatch Victory from the Jaws of the Sharks

The open topped bus and recording studio have been booked, Moss Bros are busting a gut tailoring the finest cream suits.The boys have only gone and got themselves into the U9 Shield Final!!!

We didn’t make it easy for ourselves though and at half time it was one a piece with Sherwood having the better of the game.

After the break the game was more evenly balanced with both teams spurning chances.

With five minutes to go, Beeston took the lead once more with a well worked goal.

This gave Sherwood a real urgency and put Beeston (and everyone supporting Orange) under a good deal of pressure. Our defence and keeper held strong in a truly gutsy performance.

After what felt like an eternity, ZZ Top blew the final whistle.

Wouldn’t say this was Beeston at its best. Desire and work rate got us through today which is great in itself and really pleasing.

I know we can go up a gear and we are looking for that to take us over the line.

The final takes place on 13th May at Rolls Royce against Cotgrave Whites.
