Beeston U10s - Book Place at Concert Hall Presentations

What an incredible evening to end an incredible season.

After the disappointment of the last minute loss to Attenborough, I didn’t think for a moment we would get anything out of the season but WOW was I wrong.

Tonight showed me a lot of things about this bunch of players.

A purity and togetherness, a desire and passion, a skill and strength. Awesome to witness.

Cotgrave were a very worthy opposition and played some very nice football. It was evenly balanced with both sides playing good football creating chances only to be thwarted by great defensive and goalkeeping performances at both ends in horrible conditions.

I knew going into the break one up wasn’t going to be enough and when we scored a second (against the run of play it has to be said) I was still haunted by the Attenborough game.

When Cotgrave clawed a goal back with a good spell of possession, I almost saw it coming.

But this is when the true team comes out. The final spell was truly squeaky bum time. Cotgrave threw everything at Beeston. But the boys showed us the spirit we needed and have come to rely on and they truly exorcised the ghost of evening playoffs.

I felt a ton weight lift of me when the final whistle blew.

We’re off to the Concert Hall. A deserved and proud, proud moment, thanks to this great bunch of players! Details to follow ASAP.
