Beeston U11s - Beeston Emerge from the Shadows

Considering the last time Beeston played WBCY we fell foul of a 9-2 defeat, we were less than confident coming into this fixture.

However from the word go Beeston showed a new vigor with more energy and desire than as of late and we soon went in front.

The Colts equalised just before the break, but Beeston edged the half.

After the break Beeston kept up the energy. A belief and confidence was emerging from within and any doubts were evaporating. We were creating lots of opportunities and took advantage on two further occasions.

The Colts didn't sit back though and our goal was peppered from all angles. Our goalkeeper and defense fended these off valiantly until the last 15 minutes when unfortunately for Beeston, the Colts finally took their chances to leave the fixture as a very satisfactory draw.

We always maintain that the U11's are a very good team and can get a result against anyone, and today we were proved right.

The progression is there to see. The new shape is working and hopefully we can take this and the new energy forward to the new season.
