Beeston FC U12 (Sun) Cup Semi-Final Victory!!!

A massive well done to Beeston FC U12s Sunday team on making the their 1st Cup Final.
The match kicked off with a Beeston Banger of a goal in the 2nd minute with a high tempo, high pressing and dominating play that shocked Ilkeston.
Beeston played the whole game to this manner showing real class throughout, with Ilkeston only playing a long ball game from start to finish.
The game continued with Ilkeston always chasing the lead, but always recovering and equalising, 1-1, then 2-1 to Beeston, 2-2, then 3-2 to Beeston, 3-3, then 4-3 to Beeston, 4-4.... eventually the match finalised with a full time result of 5-5 with no winner for either team.
What a match, a 10 goal thriller!
Both teams wanting a place in the Cup Final was obvious, but continuing on into extra-time was a stale mate with both teams not wanting to concede anymore goals, but also not having the legs to score anymore either.
Penalties.......the worst way to lose a game, indeed, but only if you lose, not for Beeston as our top class No.1 prevented Ilkeston's spot kicks and the outfield Beeston Boys stepped up to show their class (PENS 4-3).
