Three second half goals gave Beeston FC Orange u10s a deserved win over Keyworth in the lads' first game in Division Three.
It's a big step up from Division Six last season, but the Beeston boys were brilliant.
Kicking uphill in the first half Orange were pegged back early on and had to work hard to keep Keyworth out. Kyle made good saves while Daniel and William did well to steer the Keyworth strikers away from goal, battling hard in the penalty area when the opposition threatened.
There were good signs early on as Beeston played out from the back and through midfield with Luke, TJ, Zak and Will all doing well.
But the boys struggled to find the final ball and as the half wore on the team became too narrow as they started to chase the ball.
In the second half the lads found their feet with Ollie (pictured), Ibrahim and Kai making a difference when they came on. Beeston were spreading the play and Keyworth were finding it hard to break out. In the end the goals came.
Orange took a three-nil lead and looked set to record a clean sheet but a well-taken strike from Keyworth pulled one back.
It was a good win for Beeston against a good team and every one of the Orange players made a fine contribution. Well done boys.
