Beeston through to second round

First game of 2019 was a first round reply of a game vs Attenborough. The weather was good and the manager woke up with a good feeling....

After a few hetick first minutes with both teams having chances but neither being able to capitalise. Beeston then took the upper had haveing chance after chance but the Attenborough keeper matched every shot and looked unbeatable, until a quick throw to Ollie down the right side and an pin point crossed saw an on running Harvey volley the ball home.

Beeston went into the second half with a 1-0 lead but took control of the game straight away and after some good defending Ollie passed the ball out to Ellis on the right wing to touch it past the defender and Harvey smashed another volley into the net and seemed the only way pas to the keeper.

Ollie was an absolute star player today providing hard work, key passes, defending and finally finished the scoring off with a good run passed several players and passed it into the bottom corner.

Everyone played very well today including jack Morgan whom played RM and is traditionally a CB. Zac provided the 3rd option at all time when Beeston couldn't get through the Attenborough defence. Alan and Sam fletcher played well up front and was unlucky to get a goal. Best wishes to Joe Allan as he sustained neck/back injury after heading a high ball in midfield.

Great first game back and into the second round of the cup. Well done boys back into league action next week
