Well if a grassroots football game was covered by sky sports, it would of been today's featuring Beeston FC and Westbridgeford Ravens.
The ravens took the lead very early on the 4th minuet and added a second on the 12th. Beeston kept creating chances but couldn't get a shot away and when they did the ball ended up wide of the posts.
The second half came and the raven added a 3rd goal 3minuets in after a very good save from Dylan but no one was there to clear the follow up.
Beeston turned on the pressure and eventually got a goal back through Harvey with a nicely tucked away Finish from within the box, his 3rd goal in two games. Then Ellis broke his duck and scored a well worked second goal, suddenly Beestons heads were up and hearts are racing.
Ollie picked his head up after beating two players and blasted a 40 yard screamer into the bottom left corner and sent hetley Pearson into absolute pandemonium.
After a few nervous minutes of a ravens attack Beeston defence passed it into midfield which saw a quick one - two between Luke and Ricky in which Luke fired a shot over the keeper and into the top of the net.
Ricky finished off the scoring with a quick run beating the off side trap and curling the ball round the keeper.
Words cannot describe the emotions, atmosphere and pure spirit and skill of the players today, they never gave up and never stoped there passing play and everyone gave it there all.
The best points that came out of the game from a managers point of view is that we took long shots which hasn't happened this season and every single player put their foot on the ball, picked up their head and played the intelligent pass. Well done lads!!!!
