Real belter of a game yesterday.
Considering last time we played Team DNF we got thumped 6-0, I was a little apprehensive.
The game was pretty even in the first half. We were always chasing the scoreline but it didn’t feel like we were outclassed by any means.
But it was the last 15 minutes that made the difference. At 4-2 down we saw grit, determination and some great football dragging us from the jaws of defeat. As the conditions deteriorated it seemed to lift us and Beeston piled the pressure on. The lads very nearly pulled the (soggy) rug from under Team DNF but it just wasn’t to be.
The game finished four a piece.
Next week is the first game of the spring competitive league and if we can start with the same fire and vigour that we witnessed in the closing stages of that match we will do very well. Let’s pray for rain!!!
Proud of the boys.
COME ON BEESTON!!
