Beeston U11s - Bengals Inch Past Beeston

Good test yesterday in our last friendly fixture before the season starts next week.

We had to work our socks off with no subs bench and it could have gone either way.

The Bengals had some very talented individuals and we were very well matched. This was represented in the score line as there was no daylight between the score at any point.

We’ve been working on through balls and beating offside which looks to be working. We were constantly creating chances with some great probing passing and running onto the ball. We will need to concentrate on getting the ball out of the first third more quickly and safely. We can address this.

Having said that the goals that we conceded were pretty much unstoppable and not made through fault of our own.

OK, we didn’t come away with any points, but we came away with a valuable experience to take us forward.

It’s is going to be very interesting and exciting when we are hopefully back to full strength next week.
