Both teams looked to make the first mark on the score sheet as both attacks pushed forward early on. It was the away team who had the first chance, but goalkeeper for the day Oli made a superb save from point-blank range. It was Beeston though who got the first goal as Charlie Ball played it down the right wing to Charlie Kind, whose blocked cross was recovered by Charlie Ball before Ollie slotted it into the back of the net.

Shortly after, Priory Celtic found an equaliser from a corner. This prompted a period of end-to-end play, with both teams working hard. In the Beeston defence, George was showing his commitment as he threw himself in the way of shots and crosses, and Joshua must've covered every blade of grass as he worked tirelessly to stay involved in the action!

The second half got off to a slow start, but in the Beeston attack Amiero held on to possession well before looking up and bringing his team mates into the attack. The visitors' attack started to break through our defence, however Flynn was tracking back to stop them.

As the half progressed Priory Celtic took control of the game, creating chances which they were able to convert.

The first half displayed the best of this Beeston side, however we were unable to step it up a gear today!
