Kyle 'The Cat' produces Man-of-the-Match display

Goalkeeper Kyle had a busy afternoon on the Trent Embankment pulling off a string of super saves.
Orange u10s found it hard going against The Rossineri, but stuck at it, and none more so than Kyle, who picked up Beeston’s man of the match award.
The lads worked hard and showed they had learned lots from playing against a very good Stapleford team last week in the way they defended their penalty area and worked hard to close down runners.

It was a great effort.
Virtually in the shadow of the City Ground (it was a low Autumn sun), where one of England’s great keepers, Peter Shilton, plied his trade in the seventies and eighties, Kyle saved brilliantly with an out stretched leg in the first half before turning a pile-driver over the bar in the second.
Orange’s number one threw himself at the feet of onrushing forwards and dived left and right to keep the ball out of the Beeston net.
Meanwhile, the boys in front of him battled to protect the goal in open play and from corners.
William led the rearguard action with interceptions and tackles, while Luke made a welcome return to midfield. TJ showed how much he is developing, giving the team width going forward and using his pace to get back and help out defenders.
But in long grass Beeston found it hard to dig the ball out of defence and midfield in the face of some good Rossineri pressure and get their passing game going.
That is a challenge for future weeks – to find a way to play our game in a more demanding league. However, the lads have met every challenge so far and there is no reason they can’t rise to this one, too.
Well done boys.
